Utrecht colours pink from 6 to 15 October during Cultural Sunday Queer and the Utrecht Queer Cultural Festival. On Sunday afternoon and evening 8 October during Cultural Sunday Queer, you can soak up culture in the city, all for free. - Queer Talks
Sunday 7 October from 12-17pm, Shay Kreuger, known from Radio 2 and TV, presents Queer Talks at the library on the Neude (Podium room). From 13:30-14:00, she will interview Marijke Huisman and Evert van der Veen on QUS and queer history. Admission free. - Stories from the queer city
On Thursday 12 October from 19.30-22.00, Marischka Verbeek presents an evening about stories from the queer city at Savannah Bay bookshop (Telingstraat 13). She will be in conversation with Rymke Wiersma of publisher Atalanta; Monique Doppert, author of Amsterdam: pink history; Marjet Douze, researching the history Women's Library and Women's House Utrecht; Evert van der Veen of QueerUStories and Suzanne vd Beek & Catherine Koekoek, who research volunteers at Savannah Bay. They have already been announced: there are four historic rainbow city walks. There are still a few places on Sunday morning 7 (11am), Thursday afternoon 12 (4pm) and Saturday morning 14 (11.30am). Participation costs €5, all of which will benefit QUS itself.
